RANNA DOUMANI

A SYRIAN AMERICAN ARTIST, Born in Damascus in 1967.

In the early stages of her life, Ranna showed great passion and interest in expressing herself, her views and her experiences through various art forms.
She started developing her skills when she was still a student at the university of Houston, Texas.
She is certified in interior decoration from interior arts school of design Houston, Texas.
She decided to follow art classes while she was still in USA.
Back to Damascus Syria her hometown , she joined Adham Ismail Art Institue, one of the most famous art houses there, in which the doors were opened for her to exhibit in various art fairs and events. She participated in many art exhibitions in Syria, Lebanon and Egypt.
Ranna adopted the cause of women and their sufferings, which is manifested in most of her works. During her life, she was subjected to multiple cultures due to her constant moving through many geographically heterogenerous parts of the world, from east to west, from the Middle East to the United States, accumulating and developing her abilities to express her feelings and reflecting them to the people, fulfill-ing and nourishing her passion.
Ranna developed multiple techniques, in addition to the acrylic and oil painting; she developed a new technique, painting on a raw copper using gold leaves, evoking the Mother Earth is expressing certain feelings, and involving the mystic magic of the orient.
